The 2016 Salary Thresholds for Highly Skilled Migrants have been officially published.

The new gross monthly salary minimums (exclusive of 8% holiday allowance) will be:
a. € 3.108,- for highly skilled migrants younger than 30 years;
b. € 4.240,- for highly skilled migrants 30 years and older; and
c. € 2.228,- for highly educated migrants.
Including 8% holiday allowance the gross monthly salary minimums (rounded up) will be:
a. € 3.357,- for highly skilled migrants younger than 30 years;
b. € 4.580,- for highly skilled migrants 30 years and older; and
c. € 2.407,- for highly educated migrants.

Immigration Authorities (IND) 
The IND has confirmed that the 2016 Highly Skilled Migrant salary thresholds will apply to all applications for new long term permits or extensions that start on or after 1 January 2016 and which have been filed on or after the date (15 December 2015) that the Dutch government published the exact salary thresholds.
Permit holders who do not require an extension may continue to be paid according to the threshold that applied at the time their current permit was granted.
Labour authorities (UWV) 
The 2016 Highly Skilled Migrant salary thresholds will apply to all applications for work permits or extensions to which the salary thresholds of the HSM scheme apply and that start on or after 1 January 2016This means that the new salary thresholds should be taken into account for assignments that start on or after 1 January 2016
